About me

Originally from Brazil and based in Japan, Kanashiro Walter began his journey in Tokyo’s nightlife as a DJ, immersed in a city shaped by multiple cultures, ethnicities and artistic expressions.

This environment deeply influenced his musical language and production approach, shaping a sensibility driven by rhythm, contrast and atmosphere.

A world-builder by nature, his work is guided by a strong passion for art, philosophy and science — elements that naturally flow into both his sound and visual creations. These influences form the conceptual backbone of his projects, where aesthetics and meaning are always connected.

In 2017, Kanashiro expanded his artistic path into filmmaking and photography — not as a separate discipline, but as a natural extension of his musical work.

This evolution led to the creation of Indieground Art, a creative platform designed to unify sound and image, and to simplify the process for underground artists who carry rich inner worlds but often struggle to translate them into a clear, finished form.

Through this approach, his work remains raw, visceral and intentional, carrying an underground identity into cinema while respecting the importance of rhythm, mood and emotional climate in every frame.

Over the years, Kanashiro has learned how to give body and soul to ideas through sound and light — transforming concepts into completed works with clarity, discipline and purpose.

His goal is to help artists bring their vision to life while preserving the essence that makes it truly their own.
